Jordana Deveau

Jordana Deveau is an active force in the Toronto dance community as an interpreter, creator, producer, educator, and rehearsal director. A principal performer with CCDT since 1994, her passion and skill launched her into the roles of rehearsal director and then associate artistic director, where she trained future generations of dance artists for seven years. She is the co-artistic director of JDdance, a multifaceted dance theatre collective she co-founded with Jesse Dell in 2009. With her mentor Donna Krasnow, PhD, Deveau co-authored C-I Training: Conditioning with Imagery for Dancers. She trained in Toronto, Guelph, Vancouver, New York and Vienna, and performed in the U.S., Europe and across Canada interpreting works by notable choreographers including Carol Anderson, Peggy Baker, Sidra Bell, David Earle, Kate Franklin, Margie Gillis, Louis Laberge-Côté, Andrea Nann, Roger Sinha, Holly Small, Santee Smith and Gerry Trentham.
