Les moutons (The Sheep)

Reality meets fantasy in this unique live installation that recreates a bucolic country scene in a typical urban setting. Travel to a strange and hilarious universe that takes you through a carefully studied overview of sheep behaviour. Each moment is savored… time stands still…

Les moutons was performed in Toronto, Vancouver, Australia, Japan and throughout Ontario and Europe. The piece was nominated for a Dora Mavor Moore award for Best Choreography in 2003 and has mesmerized audiences all over the world. Mairéad Filgate, Meredith Thompson, Kate Franklin

What the press is saying about Les moutons:

Simple, but a stroke of genius.” – Het Volk, Belgium

The sheep stare vacantly and irremediably as a truly pastoral poetry emerges.” - Meuse, Bar-le-duc, France

It must have taken months of close study to learn how to impersonate sheep so effectively but, when a dog was prompted to bark angrily and audience members even offered nibbles, their success was unquestionable.” - The National Post

Les moutons was first created by Sylvie Bouchard and David Danzon under the Company CORPUS.
